Those were the words of Sharon Rocha, the mother of Laci Peterson, today in a Redwood City, California courtroom. Scott Peterson found guilty of first degree murder of his wife and second murder of his unborn son showed no emotion as members of Laci's family stood up and gave impassioned impact statements. "You decided to throw Laci and Conner away, dispose of them like they were just a piece of garbage," Rocha said. "You were wrong; dead wrong." Jurors wept openly at the mother's words. Judge Delucchi then formally sentenced Scott Peterson to death.
