A FLUSH TRAINING COLLEGE

The world's first toilet college is to open in Singapore.

The Toilet College will teach cleaners how to improve their lavatory washing skills.

Channel NewsAsia said the first batch of 30 students from a local cleaning company would start their training in October.

The college is being set up by the Singapore-based World Toilet Organisation.

"We are going to train the toilet cleaners to upgrade himself or herself to a level where he or she can take care of the entire toilet," World Toilet Organisation president Jack Sim said.

This includes changing bulbs, repairing leaky taps, technical cleaning and taking away urine salt inside the toilet, he said.

The college also plans to offer courses on toilet design and architecture next year.

The World Toilet Organisation is a non-profit organisation with 17 members, including the Restroom Association of Singapore and the Japan Toilet Association.
