Drunken hearse driver 'bit cop'

A drunken hearse driver has been arrested in Germany after he bit the policeman who stopped him for driving erratically.

The 42-year-old, from Krefeld, got drunk after being invited back to a wake by a grieving widow following her husband's funeral.

But he was pulled over after police spotted the hearse weaving across the road.

One officer said: "When he finally got out of the car he almost tumbled over, he was that inebriated."

He was arrested for resisting arrest after biting an officer on his hand, and locked up over night until the alcohol had worn off. He faces assault and drink driving charges.
