Danish Police Break Up Movie Fight

COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) - Two Danish police officers thought they were upholding law and order when they tried to break up a street fight, but ended up red-faced when they realized they had interrupted a film shoot, a newspaper reported Friday.

The plainclothes officers apparently didn't notice the film crew when they rushed to separate actors staging a drunken brawl for a Swedish movie on Wednesday.

The director had gotten permission to shoot the scene Tuesday in Helsingoer, north of Copenhagen, but it was postponed one day because of rain, the Politiken newspaper said. However, not all officers were aware of the change.

Every year, thousands of Swedes travel across the 310-yard Oresund strait to Helsingoer to take advantage of lower alcohol prices in Denmark.

Helsingoer is best known for housing the Kronborg Castle, where William Shakespeare set the scene for his play "Hamlet."

That is funny stuff. I wish I could have seen the cops faces when they discovered their mistake. :)
